City of Las Vegas Business License Instructions

Multi-Vendor Permit


A temporary commercial event of less than 30 days, whether public or private, with two or more vendors or exhibitors. The term does not include a parade or an event that is considered a special event under LVMC Chapter 12.02. Application must be submitted by a licensed promoter or event coordinator at least 10 working days prior to the event.

1. Confirm the proposed business location is within the Las Vegas city limits and properly zoned for this activity, if applicable. For information on planning, zoning, and building requirements, call (702) 229-6301 or visit City Hall, 495 S. Main St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89101.

2. Eligible Location Types: a) Government Facility b) Convention Center c) Licensed Event Center or Plaza d) Resort Hotel e) Cultural Establishment (defined in LVMC 6.50.010) f) Permanent Trade Show Facility (defined in LVMC 6.50.010) g) Parking Lot and Vacant Lot (with approved Temporary Commercial Permit)

3. Provide proof of compliance with the Nevada Department of Taxation located at 700 E Warm Springs Road, 2nd Floor, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119. For additional information call (866) 962-3707 or visit their website at www.nvsilverflume.gov.

4. In order to ensure the applicant can commence operations as soon as desired the items listed above must be submitted at least 10 working days prior to commencing business to the City of Las Vegas, Business Licensing Division located at 495 S. Main St., Las Vegas, NV 89101. A permit application must be filed online at www.lasvegasnevada.gov.

5. Fees due with the application are based on the number of vendors and number of days the event will be at the address identified for business operations. The permit fee is $10 per vendor, for each day (events at the Las Vegas Convention Authority - Cashman Field Facility are $5 per vendor, for each day). In addition, a one-time per application processing fee of $50 will be assessed.

6. Business license applications are sent to the Planning Department and Fire Department for review and inspection. Upon approval from these agencies and completion of all items listed above, the Business Licensing Division will issue your business license.
