Residence Hotel (31 days or more)


A multi-dwelling unit for extended stay lodging consisting of efficiency units or suites with a complete kitchen suitable for long term occupancy; customary hotel services such as linen, maid service, telephone and upkeep of furniture; and optional resident and guest amenities such as meeting rooms, club house and recreation facilities.

2. Provide proof of compliance with the Nevada Secretary of State located at 2250 Las Vegas Boulevard North, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. Provide proof of compliance with the Nevada Department of Taxation located at 700 E Warm Springs Road, 2nd Floor, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119. 3. Apply for and obtain a Health Permit from the Southern Nevada Health District located at 2830 E. Fremont St., Las Vegas, NV 89104. For more information go on-line at www.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org or call (702) 759-1000.

4. 30 days prior to commencing business, apply on-line at https://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/dashboard.

5. Fees due at time application is submitted are based on the number of rooms. $50.00 processing fee + (0 - 4 rooms = $0.00, 5 - 8 rooms = $25.00, 9 - 199 = $25.00 plus $3.00 per room). Make checks payable to CITY OF LAS VEGAS.

6. Room rentals may be subject to the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority room tax provisions. Full information on this will be provided at the time the application is submitted to City of Las Vegas Business Licensing Division.

7. Business license applications are sent to the Planning Department and Fire Department for review and inspection, if applicable. Upon approval from these agencies and completion of all items listed above, the Business Licensing Division will issue your business license.
