Resort Hotel - 200 rooms or more


A building or group of buildings whose main function is to provide rooms for temporary lodging where entrance to each room is gained from a completely enclosed area. A hotel may also contain restaurants, conference rooms & personal service shops.

1. Confirm the proposed business location is within the Las Vegas city limits and properly zoned for this activity, if applicable. 2. Provide proof of compliance with the Nevada Secretary of State located at 2250 Las Vegas Boulevard North, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. Provide proof of compliance with the Nevada Department of Taxation located at 555 East Washington Avenue, Suite 1300, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101. 3. Apply for and obtain a Health Permit from the Southern Nevada Health District located at 333 North Rancho Drive 4th floor # 350, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89106. For more information go on-line at www.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org or call (702) 759-1000.

4. 30 days prior to commencing business, apply on-line at https://DSCportal.LasVegasNevada.gov.

5. Complete a wastewater profile for non-residential establishments. This can be accomplished at the time the business license application is submitted. Contact the City of Las Vegas Environmental Division at (702) 229-6594 for additional information.

6. Fees due at time application is submitted are based on the number of rooms. $50.00 processing fee + (0 - 4 rooms = $0.00, 5 - 8 rooms = $25.00, 9 - 300 = $3.00 per room, over 300 = $900.00 + $1.50 for each room over 300). Make checks payable to CITY OF LAS VEGAS LICENSE.

7. Business license applications are sent to the Planning Department and Fire Department for review and inspection, if applicable. Upon approval from these agencies and completion of all items listed above, the Business Licensing Division will issue your business license.
