Drug Store


A business establishment which occupies whole or part of a building and where a State licensed pharmacist is present for the purpose of compounding or dispensing (or both) drugs and medicines. Allows associated general retail sales.

1. Confirm the proposed business location is within the Las Vegas city limits and properly zoned for this activity. 2. Provide proof of compliance with the Nevada Secretary of State located at 555 East Washington Avenue, Suite 5200, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101. 3. Obtain the required state license from the Pharmacy State Board located at 555 Double Eagle Court, Suite 1100, Reno, Nevada 89511. Call 1 (800) 364-2081 for additional information.

4. Complete a wastewater profile for non-residential establishments. This can be accomplished at the time the business license application is submitted. Contact the City of Las Vegas Environmental Division at (702) 229-6594 for additional information.

5. 30 days prior to commencing business, bring a completed license application and all applicable items listed above to the Business Licensing Division, 333 N. Rancho Drive, Las Vegas NV 89106.

6. Fees due at time application is submitted are $150.00 ($100.00 license fee + $50.00 processing fee). Make checks payable to CITY OF LAS VEGAS. License fees are based on the gross revenue of the business and are due in advance semiannually.

7. Business license applications are sent to the Planning Department and Fire Department for review and inspection. Upon approval from these agencies and completion of all items listed above, the Business Licensing Division will issue your business license.
